Notes: Just to record, this potato was under the tree of obs. http://mushroomobserver.org/152722?q=1mnCI I don’t know if this fungus has anything to do with that.

Recognized by sight: if so, then immature, as no perithecia appear to be present/developed. reminds me of H. americana, but that grows “on basidiomes of Fomitopsis pinicola and Piptoporus betulinus”
