Notes: Yellow gills, was growing on bare pine sided with another gym species..


this is just to show the other gyms it was growing with as well as to show the yellow gills.

Does look kind of similar, your second image less so. I’m not really that knowledgeable with Gymnopilus, some other MO users might have an more informed opinion.

I was basing this name off of other observations, I didn’t really look into where it habitually grows, my bad. Still, when I first found this punctifolius jumped into my mind first because of the gnarly stem.
