Observation 15941: Mycena (Pers.) Roussel
When: 2008-12-30
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These had most of the characteristics of Mycena capillaripes. The spores were in the right size range and were amyloid. The gills were thinly marginate with a pale pinkish color. They were growing on the ground and the base of the stipes were covered with white hairs. Not growing with pines but among Madrone and they had an interesting cogwheel gill attachment. However,I neglected to check for odor and the spores had an obvious hilar appendage.
