These were growing on old logs.
Caps up to 5.3 cm across and somewhat hygrophanous..
Spore print brown.
Spores ~ 5-6 microns, globose to subglobose, and slightly rough.
KOH on cap and gills neg. to sl. brownish.
Would have called these Crepidotus mollis if I hadn’t checked the spores.
I wasn’t aware this species occurred in the Bay Area but I now see a few on MO that have been recorded in northern Ca down to Santa Cruz.
