Observation 160774: Agaricales sensu lato
When: 2012-08-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: 1/4" high fruitbodies on wet log, seemed too small to photograph, and too poorly focused to post. Can you make a suggestion?

HR is a large park, with miles of wooded trails, variable forest types, and some areas with trees older than the typical 50-70 year old hardwoods that dominate much of the public land in the Pocono plateau. Great place to hunt fungi! If I spent a week of all-day hunting maybe I could cover all the trails.

because we were both hunched over a camera down in the gulch. I was there Sunday afternoon only. It was great.

Dave, thanks for the suggestion. It is your backyard, you should know.

How is it that we were both in this park on the same date and never hit the trail together? I got there mid to late afternoon and enjoyed the fungi that day and the next day and part of the next.
