Observation 160904: Pluteus romellii (Britzelm.) Lapl.

Notes: Growing on well-decayed wood, probably tanoak.
Caps up to 4 cm wide.
Spore print pinkish-brown.
Spores ~ 6.8-7.8 X 5.8-6.3 microns, broadly ellipsoid and smooth.
Pileipellis structure with globose elements that are brown in KOH.
Gill cystidia quite variable in size and shape but mostly utriform, up to 77 X 29 microns.
Also noted some long lamella trama elements.
