Fungi brown, umbonate cap; stipe hollow, white base; gills brown- to lilac-brown-pink, free, notched or adnate. Total height 3cm to 10cm. Usually rooting in or in close proximity to moss, associated with grass in lawns.

Looks very much like Entoloma sericeum, but as always in this genus we have several other hyphothesis, like: E. vernum and E. hirtipes, in the latter case if it smells like fish.
