Notes: Pale grey, white, and dark gray ascos 1/2" to 1-1/2" in diameter with thick margin of brown hairs.

Sorry my description is so poor. I believe there was a white coating of mold on these. Unfortunately, there is a gap between photo 1 and the rest – that is – I don’t see that fb reproduced in the larger photos below. If I remember the location correctly, (my memory and the location on the filename agree) there was /is not abundant or any evidence of a recent fire. I have visited the site about 10 times in the last 3 years. I have never seen evidence of fire.
