This one has been bugging me since I found it too.

caught my interest, a very odd Tricholoma. I have been trying to find out what it could be, but still no result… Apparently it has a veil that has been cracking on the cap and left remnants on the lower part of the stem, below a ring-like zone.

It could be related to Tricholoma batschii which has a brown slime on the cap and the lower part of the stem, the difference is that this one has a drier kind of veil.

Tricholoma vaccinum is quite different, with a slender, brown stem and a shaggy cap, especially hairy at the margin.

No reasoning irenea?

A “not likely” vote really does me no good without an explanation as to why.
