Notes: Growing on Quercus trees. This was lacking in my set of species of Collema observed. It is not considered uncommon here, but I never found it before. The specimens observed were wet and, as a consequence, the lobes were inflated, but due to the conspicuous apothecia one hardly could saw the lobes. In this hydrated state the thallus resembles a ball, very elastic when collected.
