The slides were prepared from a sterile-ish culture. The culture was made from a mushroom gill, but is not mushroom mycelium – it’s something else that was living on the gill.

I don’t put my name on my photos because I think it makes the photos look worse. I don’t mind when people steal my images.

At 600x it looks like you have a fair amount of what I call sand on the slide. Is this dirt from the mushroom gills or some other thing? Unrelated – I have not noticed you putting your name on your photos. Do you? It seems like a good idea to me. I use gimp a lot but have not figured out how I can batch things – or stamp it with my name…,
