Collection location: Serra de Montejunto, Portugal [Click for map]

Who: zaca

No specimen available

Notes:
These specimens grew over the thallus of the lichen Acrocordia gemmata (considered in observation 160739). These fungi bearing a pronounced longitudinal slit, as can be seen in the attached photos
Using the key available at
http://www.eboehm.com/hysterium.html
and taking into account the dimensions of the spores obtained:
14 [15 ; 15.6] 16.7 × 3.8 [4.3 ; 4.7] 5.2 um;
Q = 2.8 [3.3 ; 3.6] 4.1 ; N = 20 ; C = 95%;
Me = 15.3 × 4.5 um ; Qe = 3.4
I conclude that it must be Hysterium angustatum; The similar H. pulicare has much longer and wider spores.
