My dad says you are very welcome, he is enjoying himself, and you should come us at Little Hartley next time you are in Australia.

Hello, Lucy’s Dad.

I haven’t come across these before (not that I know of). They were in a new place where I’ve never found any amanitas before. I collected this one three days ago (and dried it straight away etc) when I felt a little unwell so my notes were lacking somewhat. Today I am collecting more (hopefully I’ll come across this one as well) and I’ll take better notice of things. I can’t bend because of my op two weeks ago but my father is happy to hop along with me and dig them up from the ground and take pics etc. He’s doing a pretty good job!

Very interesting, Lucy.

I’m not even sure to which section this might be assigned. I do think it is likely to be an Amanita.

Was there a distinct partial veil on the stem at some point?

Very best,
