Another revisitation to this beautiful specimen.

with a razor on the hymenium I harvested some spores. I never saw spores of Fomitopsis before, but have observed Ganoderma spores, and these are spores of the latter genus. Furthermore, taking into account their dimensions , got in average
Me = 9.8 × 7 one; Qe = 1.4 (N = 23)
is very likely to be G. applanatum; G. australe is similar but the spores are smaller. Attached photographs of spores.
