Observation 163322: Agaricus augustus Fr.

Large capped brown fine gilled fungi with veil or volva, not sure about this one. Stipe was straight but had uneven surface. The fungi was fresh and the pileus was soft and flexible. Specimen found in pine area with soil decomposing pine matter. The fungi had a mushroom aroma.

The gills on some Leucoagaricus become brownish in age. However, the last photo clearly shows a brown spore deposit on the stipe so that rules Leucoagaricus out.
