Very confident that it is, what do you think?
white gills, stipe had ring and volva, slightly convex and flat caps, quite large – some dinner plate sized

Especially given the size you cited, the rings of volval material around the base of the stipe, the colors. There is a look-a-like that gets exported from North America; however, all the material from Australia to date (that I know of) has proven to be the species exported from Europe…that is to say, A. muscaria in the strict sense.
