Observation 165561: Coprinellus disseminatus group
When: 2014-05-19
Collection location: Cuenca, Ecuador [Click for map]
(-2.9148° -79.0086° 2500m)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These fungi grew on a soil sample that I collected from the lowlands of Ponce Enríquez, in the coastal zone of Ecuador (slopes of the Andes to the coast) at 500 meters. It is weird because its been 5 months since I came back from that expedition and it just showed one morning in a pot with that soil. It has no scent apparently. The gills are white / cream, the stem is somehow translucent (white) and the cap is conical. The pictures are very clear, so I think more of the characters will be easy to see.
