Notes: Found beneath Sugar Maple and White Oak, binding litter, bark and leaves.
Pilei scattered, 5-8 cm, hygrophanous, striatulate when moist.
Stipe 6-9 cm long, 3-5 mm dia. white, grooved at length, sturdy, pendulant annulus, base bulbous Basal mycelium tomentose with strong thick rhizomorphs.
Spores 7.4 X 5.0, more or less elliptical- ovoid/obovoid, some truncate, small germ pore.
Cheilocystidia- not observed, Pleurocystidia, 44 X 20 broadly clavate with an obtuse apex, rare, Caulocystidia in fascicles, elongated spheropendunculate/ cylindrical capitate, abundant above the annular area.
