Observation 166286: Panaeolus foenisecii group

No specimen available

brown mushroom about 1cm at maturity. Gregariously growing in grass; there were about a dozen of them, but only 2-3 at a time appeared to be growing from the same location (though they were not connected).

Stem about 10-15cm long, slender, and fibrous.

Gills are serrated/staggered.

Spores are dark-brown; spores appeared black but spore print on black paper showed a dark brown print, not black.

There was NO SIGN of a veil, though.

cap is dry.
