Notes: Both orange-brown and red forms were present in the litter under a group of bishop pine and grand fir. Orange-brown ones seemed to be limited to one roughly two-meter-square patch, but the red form was more widespread, including intermixed with the orange-brown. Upright specimens in the photo were not moved; they were growing just a few centimeters from one another!
