Observation 166812: Auricularia auricula-judae (Bull.) Quél.
When: 2014-06-05

Notes: I have loaded this fungi due to its unusual size that I generally see. Some locals refer to it as Pigs ear or Wood ear. There were smaller growths in the area, but this particular fungi was huge in comparison. It was growing on deadwood in a shaded and damp environment. It surprised me that it was still in reasonable condition by the time I had returned home. I had to use a small piece of wooden stick to lift the drooping body up to show the underneath area. (I edited the image and removed the stick.)
