Both this and the linked obs have or had an in-rolled margin. However, the gills are much shallower in this obs. Regardless, I don’t think there is enough detail to justify giving this collection an epithet.

Rich, you determined the observation I linked was not liquiritiae. I haven’t looked into it any further yet. I am positive this is the same species of Gymnopilus, which is the first of it’s genus to flush in my area, typically as early as mid-may.
