on the curb immediatiely adjacent to SE 82nd Ave., a very well-travelled street in Portland. Pretty sure this isn’t a moss, though.

It is extremely rare, and wouldn’t be caught dead in an urban setting. That said, I can’t suggest any alternatives based on these photos.
