Species is small, of 10 specimens none reached over 2" in height.

Recognized by sight: I think the top three photos are Gyroporus purpurinus, and the other ones a species of Boletus.

I tried to destroy the “mixed collection” proposal that no longer applies, but for some reason it remains.

Just to be certain, like all Gyroporus species, G. purpurinus should have stipe that snaps/breaks cleanly. The interior of the stipe is chambered to fairly hollow. Very young specimens have loosely stuffed stipe chambers.
