Notes: Purchased along the roadside of RN7 from local vendors. Two species of Russula are pictured: R. madagassensis (the focus of the observation) and R. prolifica. The former is purple. The latter is much paler, and can be seen in the left basket in image one and the upper/rear basket in image two. A separate observation exists for these at Observation 168334.

Habitat: Eucalyptus Woodland (likely E. robusta)
