reticulatum of B. separans with such high relief, other evidence (including the occurrence with hardwood) supports separans. The cap surface with large deep pits/channels is something I often see with separans.

look tightly woven and thick for B. separans. Was this mushroom collected from under hardwoods? Was there pine in the habitat?
