Notes: Found in the Turkey Creek Unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve.
Caps up to 4.5 cm across, striations to 4 mm long and was able to peel cuticle almost completely.
Taste was mild, no distinctive odor.
Spore print was whitish to sl. creamy.
Spores ~ 6.0-7.0 X 5.0-6.8 microns, globose to broadly ellipsoid, and with relatively heavy ornamentation, both long spikes and connective lines.
Didn’t expect to find a match and was not disappointed.
