Notes:
Found in the Turkey Creek Unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve.
Growing on the ground on buried wood in mixed woods.
Caps up to 3.4 cm across.
Also enjoy finding these neat little guys and wonder if they could be a different species.

Ganoderma curtisii is dinstinct in that it is lighter colored, often yellow instead of the usual red, your specimen is nearly white. I am fairly confident that this is G.curtisii.
