There is no way to grab a sample while on the boat tour (in this instance it’s a DUKW tour – amphibious vehicles called Dells Army Ducks). But that’s how this species usually grows around here – on the cliff faces and vertical surfaces, usually out of reach. This particular rock is called “Ink Stand”
