Notes: Vivid colors on cap are not typical. Stipe without yellow patches.

I recall a previous discussion regarding similar material collected in… Connecticut I think?

There is red on the cap in this case.

it was certainly too young to be producing spores, and it had a rather anomalous cap color for banningiana.
