Observation 169767: Amanita sect. Vaginatae sensu Zhu L. Yang

Notes: A few spores appeared to exhibit a small “stem.” Second micro shows spores mounted in KOH/Congo red as my attempt to accentuate this feature.

Membraneous volva thin but persistent.

Oak, hickory, maple.

We have recieved this material and accessioned it to Rod’s Herbarium. We have scheduled it for DNA sequencing.
