Taste and smell.

The taste is not at all unpleasant. It does have a mushroom flavor, like a very fragrant button mushroom. Very slight bitterness. The smell is reminiscent of curry, which has me worried, but it is not a strong curry scent. The flavor does make me want to eat them.

The flesh does not turn blue/green at all. The gills do.
