On ground under spruce and birch. Cap up to 11 cm, yellow brown, shiny almost metallic looking in age, margin lined half way to center. Gills spotting brown. Stem stuffed to hollow spotting brown where eaten by larvae. Odor of almonds. Mild taste (Donna tasted bitterness then hot). Whitish spore print.
