Growing in deep leaf litter under shady oaks. These were found in exactly the same spot where I collected #141832 last year.
> Macro-chemical Tests:
- KOH on cap = deep rusty brown; NH4OH on cap = grayish green.
- KOH on cap context = pale orange; KOH on stipe context = dark orange-brown.
- NH4OH on cap context = erased bluing; NH4OH on stipe context = erased bluing then stained flesh brownish.
- KOH on pore mouths = mahogany
> Spore print = greenish-brown or olive brown. Exposure to 5% KOH changed it to clay brown
