upland Jack Pine (Pinus banksiana) forest, burned in 2011 (3 yrs ago), sandy soil

Special notes:
pores darkening as dries out/ wear on fresh specimen
no overhanging edges of pileus as described in key
probably associated with Jack Pine (Pinus banksiana), though young aspen (Populus tremuloides) saplings were also fairly abundant coming up in the regenerating forest since the fire
staining on stipe not apparent or else very slow… scratched stipe has not changed in at least ten minutes
