Recognized by sight: A single specimen found in a boggy area while blueberry picking. Had a stature of, and a bulb similar to A. amerirubescens, with slight reddish staining.

The slow staining (including some orangish tint)…

would go with the split bulb; so aestivalis might be a possibility…

There appeared to be cleft(s), but the bulb was slightly eroded so I wasn’t sure what I was looking at. I guess what I mean to say is that the bulb lacked an abrupt shoulder.

It looks like there are at least two vertical clefts in the bulb….
