When: 2014-07-28

Collection location: Perry, Maine, USA [Click for map]

Who: Terri Clements/Donna Fulton (pinonbistro)

No specimen available

Growing from moss covered well rotted wood in mixed woods. Single specimen. Purple brown cap with fibrils. Pallid decurrent gills, watery white milk. Stem color of cap and covered with fibers. Mild odor and taste. White spore deposit. This reminded me of L. camphoratus but this obs seems more purplish brown and lacks the spicy aroma. Heavy rains overnight.
