The Amanita website includes the following, under the heading “Gills” for the species A. pseudovolvata. “The cap margin is decorated with white flocculence that becomes red-brown or brick. The short gills of A. pseudovolvata are truncate to subtruncate to rounded truncate to subattenuate.”

Is the word “cap” (beginning of first sentence in quote) correct? Should it be “gills?”

Gills in this obs show marginal brown-stained flocculence.

Cap margin short-striate.
