Observation 172162: Amanita sect. Vaginatae sensu Zhu L. Yang

Notes:
Solitary specimen of Vaginatae, along a path in the woods.
The more probable host was Quercus cerri growing on top of the hill side of such path.
Volva is thin and not easily removable from the ground without damaging.
The single specimen found was picked and put to be dried.
