Notes:
Growing with Pinus contorta and Abies concolor. Doesn’t quite fit G. vividus but the best fit it seems with the red collar on stipe.

Recognized by sight: It might be the same thing, just described from paler specimens. It appears that the only difference is vivid colors (when young) in G. vidius and amyloid spores on G. amyloideus. If they are the same, it is an older name.
