Notes: Growing near oaks and roughly 2 meters from the P. sphaerosporus I posted for the same date. Two different fruiting bodies roughly 20cm apart.

Very nice photographs of an interesting specimen.
The tuberculate-striate cap margin (bumpy ridges between the grooves) is very clearly shown in your pictures. That’s not a rare character, but it can be helpful in recognizing something seen before.
