to prepare for a vacation. Consequently, I didn’t have any time to examine. Color in photo is very close to what I recall seeing. Thanks for the suggestion, Emma. If I run across something else that looks like this, at least I now have a lead to follow.

only one bulbous based purplish cort in PA? I sure can’t see any gill color on those. Would KOH help to separate it out to species?

These are lovely little corts, but it is pretty hard to see any real identifying characters, from where I am sitting.
