Observation 172979: Pluteus umbrosus (Pers.) P. Kumm.

Notes:
A very typical Pluteus umbrosus. Note the fuzzy stipe and pileus and brown lamellar cystidia.

I’m posting this to illustrate the difference between this typical specimen and a very similar fungus which often grows exactly at the same time and same place as this one. The latter keys out as P. granularis, which is supposedly a North American species and is not known to occur in Eurasia.
