When: 2014-08-10

Collection location: Ijams Nature Center, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA [Click for map]

Who: Emma Harrower (eharrower)

No specimen available

Cap: 3.2 cm wide
Stipe: 8.0 × 1.2 cm
spores: inamyloid, ellipsoid, ~7.2 × 4.8 um.
The base was firmly stuck in the mud and the stipe broke when I tried to dig out the base. You can see it had a volva from the first photo. Also, a speck of white universal veil remnant is stuck to the cap.
Growing in beech and oak dominant forest.
