Shot was taken with a large diffuser for shade and a reflector for light. No artificial light source. Obviously I blew the color, or we wouldn’t all be having this conversation. :)

you had an external light source on this one? I think I’ve gotten silly effects like that from using a flashlight…

Pink spores

I revisited this photo, and it seems like the spores are in fact pink(ish).

I don’t remember if I took a spore print for this one – I’ll check my herbarium in a couple of weeks and see.

on the gill edge…but, the pileus tells a different story.
as do the spores flying through the air…

at any rate…it’s a great photo.

Spore print color?

Was the spore print pinkish on this one. In the photo, it looks golden or yellowish.
