Observation 174505: Amanita crenulata group

Notes: Found in the Speedwell section of FPP in the woods near 39.776289, -74.535699.

The larger specimen was 11 cm tall and had a cap of 7.0-7.5 cm in diameter; the bulb measured 2.7 × 2.7 cm (roughly globose)

The smaller specimen was 9.5 cm tall and had a cap of 5.0-5.5 cm in diameter; the bulb was 2.5 wide and 2.3 cm long.

Microscopy:
Nonamyloid in Melzer’s;
[21/1/1]: L x W = (7.4-) 7.7-9.3 x (7.0-) 7.2-8.8 (-9.3) μm;
L’ x W’ = 8.4 × 7.8 μm;
Q = 1-1.13; Q’ = 1.07; globose to subglobose, with an irregular outline (as if drawn by an unsteady hand), never broadly ellipsoid or ellipsoid
