Notes: Scleroderma, amidst Pinus contorta (Lodgepole pine) debris.


In situ. Note Lodgepole pine cone and leaf debris. Epigeous (Partially above ground).
Sliced sporocarp, showing purple-black gleba; thick peridium that bruises pink to light red when sliced.
Peridium 3mm thick.
