Observation 174814: Mucronella Fr.
When: 2014-08-14

Notes: tiny, each tooth less than 1mm thick. presumably white when young, yellow in age, unless these are two, intermixed species.

Substrate: on underside of large, fallen, decomposing, decorticate, moss-covered log.

Habitat: mixed deciduous + coniferous temperate rainforest, ~4500 ft.

Collected for the 2014 Fleshy Fungi of the Highlands Plateau course, taught by Andy Methven at the Highlands Biological Station in Highlands, North Carolina.
