Spores elliptical with 1.8 < Q < 2.0.

Colors in photos close to true, except stipe was a bit more yellow than in the photos.

a mental block about this mushroom.

For the past 24 hours I have been thinking that I should know what this is. But I just couldn’t dig a name out of my memory. A few years ago, at NEMF, people were finding these on the one foray, and I told them all the mushrooms were Psathyrella conissans. I was later made aware of the error. Since then, I have experienced reoccurring confusion regarding the identity of Mycena rutilantiformis.
