Sometimes Psathyrella candolleana and related species can have annulate forms, but most of the time annulate Psathyrella are subgenus Pseudostropharia.

Gotcha. Are all annulate Psaths in that subgenus?

P. longistriata is a western species, there are several annulate Psathyrella, even in the west there is more than one. Smith had different names for the Eastern ones, too bad there is no collection for study….
